General Questions

When is Commencement Weekend?
Commencement Weekend is scheduled for May 19–21, 2017. All Golden Hawk events will take place during those dates.

What activities are there?
There are lots of activites planned over the weekend. Activities on Friday and Saturday are open to all Golden Hawks. Sunday is reserved for our newest Golden Hawks, the class of 1967. View the entire schedule for the weekend.

What is the dress code for the weekend?
Connecticut weather in the spring is always a little unpredictable, so come prepared!  For most of the weekend, casual dress is appropriate. Red is always encouraged. For Sunday's Commencement ceremony, we recommend men wear slacks, shirt, and jacket (we will provide a tie), and women wear a dress, skirt, or dress pants, and blouse (we will provide a piece of jewelry).

What is the cost to attend the weekend?
The Golden Hawks are special guests of the University, thus there is no cost to attend any event.

Can I bring a guest/spouse?
You are welcome to bring a guest or your spouse to celebrate with you.

Can you accommodate special needs?
Those with special needs are encouraged to attend and all possible accomodations will be made. Golf carts will be available to help transport those with mobility limitations from the 1877 Club to the Commencement ceremony on Sunday. Transportation, Parking, and Hotels

Where can I park?
Special parking is available for our Golden Hawks through the weekend. Parking is available in Lot K for Friday, May 19, and Sunday, May 21, and Lot B on Saturday, May 20. Download a printable campus map.

How do I get to campus?
Driving directions and information on public transportation to campus are available online.

Where can I stay?
The University of Hartford has partnered with a number of area hotels. You can access the online hotel portal here.

 

Registration

How do I register?
Register online or call the Alumni Office at 860.768.2400.

When is the registration deadline?
Online registration is available until Friday, May 12. If you miss the registration deadline, don't worry, walk-ins are welcome all weekend!

What if my plans change and I need to cancel my registration?
We understand plans change. Should you need to change your registration, please contact the Alumni Office at 860.768.2400 or alumni@hartford.edu.
