UHart Career Mentoring

Mentoring is a proven approach to student success and improves job placement rates upon graduation. The UHart Career Mentoring Program gives students the opportunity to meet with and learn from accomplished professionals who provide career planning support and valuable guidance on internships, business etiquette, networking, resumes, interviewing, and more.

Previously known as the Express to Success Program, the program has matched over 300 students from all majors with executives and professionals from more than 60 organizations in the Hartford area and throughout the U.S since 2013. By tapping into the power of the vast UHart alumni network, students can take advantage of this innovative approach to career planning, leading them on the path to success after graduation.

As a mentor, you can inspire, motivate, and support someone striving to succeed. Being a mentor not only benefits students, but you, as well. By providing professional advising and leadership coaching, mentors often build new skills which can transfer back into the workplace.

The UHart Career Mentoring Program is structured with the schedule of a busy professional in mind. After being matched, the time commitment is established by the mentor and student. Most communication is by email or phone/text, with in-person meetings as schedules allow. Mentors do not need to be graduates of the University of Hartford to participate.

Be a mentor and make a difference today!

Having a mentor is an opportunity to experience, understand, and learn from your mentor's personal and professional experience, knowledge, and skills. The one-on-one mentoring relationship allows for individual attention to your career aspirations, professional development, and networking needs.

Students must attend an Information Session prior to applying. The link to the online application is sent after you attend one of the Information Sessions.
