Honoring our exceptional alumni
The University of Hartford, the Alumni Association, and the seven schools and colleges each recognize a number of alumni throughout the year in a variety of award programs. Some are in recognition of general achievement, while others are specific to a certain area of study or influence, or for distinguished service to the University.
The Anchor Award is the most prestigious award presented by the University of Hartford Alumni Association. The awards were established to recognize alumni who have distinguished themselves by achieving the highest level of professional and community accomplishments and who possess absolute standards of integrity and character to positively reflect and enhance the prestige of the University of Hartford. Distinguished Alumna/us Award
The Distinguished Alumna/us Award is presented to an alumna or alumnus who has demonstrated excellence in her or his professional endeavors, as well as in personal and civic involvement. Achievements in these areas, which bring pride to the University, are the primary consideration. This award is presented annually at Commencement Weekend. Submit a nomination. Deadline for nominations: Oct. 3.
Distinguished Service Award
The award for distinguished service is presented to an alumna or alumnus who has provided exemplary service to the University community, usually for an extended period of time. Community service and professional accomplishments are considered. University of Hartford faculty and staff members who are alumni are eligible. This award is also presented at Commencement Weekend.
