General Questions

When is Commencement Weekend?
Commencement Weekend is scheduled for May 16–18, 2014. All Golden Hawk events will take place over those dates.

What activities are there?
From a campus tour on Friday, a special lecture on Saturday, and the Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, there are lots of activites planned. Friday and Saturday's activities are open to all Golden Hawks, Sunday is reserved for our newest Golden Hawks, the class of 1964. View the entire schedule for the weekend.

What is the dress code for the weekend?
Connecticut weather in the spring is always a little unpredictable, so come prepared!  For most of the weekend, casual dress is appropriate. Red is always encouraged! For Sunday's Commencement Ceremony, we encourage men to wear slacks, shirt and jacket (we will provide a tie) and women to wear a dress, skirt or dress pants and blouse (we will provide a scarf).

What is the cost to attend the weekend?
The Golden Hawks are special guests of the University, thus there is no cost to attend any event!

Can I bring a guest/spouse?
You are welcome you to bring a guest or your spouse to celebrate with you.

Can you accommodate special needs?
Those with special needs are encouraged to attend and all possible accomodations will be made for you, our guests. Golf-carts will be available to help transport those with mobility issues from Hawk Hall to the Commencement Ceremony on Sunday. Transportation and Parking

Where can I park?
Special parking is available for all Golden Hawks through the weekend. Parking is available in Lot K for Friday, May 17 and Sunday, May 19 and Lot B on Saturday, May 18. Download a printable campus map.

How do I get to campus?
Driving directions and information on public transportation to campus is available online.

 

Registration

How do I register?
Registration online or via phone to the Alumni Office at 860.768.2400.

When is the registration deadline?
Online registration is available until Sunday, May 11. If you miss the registration deadline, don't worry, walk-ins are welcome all weekend!

What if my plans change and I need to cancel my registration?
We understand plans change.  Should you need to change your registration, please contact the Alumni Office at 860.768.2400 or alumni@hartford.edu.
