Volunteer at Homecoming!!
The Homecoming Planning Committee, under the guidance
of committee chair Nat Kennedy ’66, has already begun discussing next year’s
festivities. Expect a return of our trademark events - Casino Night, the Alumni
Artisan’s Marketplace and the Alumni Musician’s Spotlight. Special reunions are
also being planned, such as a Red Caps 40th anniversary and the
School of Communication reunion. Also, for the first time, the annual Hartford
Art School Alumni show opening reception will coincide with the kickoff of Homecoming
Weekend!
Our alumni volunteers play a vital role in the
success of the weekend’s activities. As Homecoming grows each year, so do the
opportunities to get involved. Contact Director of Alumni Relations, Kandyce
Aust, at aust@hartford.edu if you’d like to get involved with next year’s events.

A Successful Homecoming Weekend!
The weather may have been damp, but turnout and enthusiasm were high at Fall Weekend 2009.
The campus was bustling with activity, including
reunions, performances, activities for kids, awards honoring
outstanding alumni, and the dedication of the University's baseball field as "Fiondella Field."
"For a damp day, everyone made the best of it. People just had fun," said Director of Alumni Relations Kandyce Aust.
The weekend kicked off on Friday evening with the popular casino night
event, which has become a Homecoming favorite. The theme for this
year's casino night was “Fly Hawk Air!” -- participants competed for a
variety of travel-related prizes, including luggage, cameras, and the
Grand Prize, a $1,000 gift certificate for Southwest Airlines.
